Nutritional Counseling

At Noorani Medical Center we believe in high-quality preventive care to help protect and maintain our patients’ health. That’s why we’re so passionate about nutritional counseling.

Our certified nutritional experts are ready to help you nourish your body and mind with a tailored plan that supports your overall health.

What Is Nutritional Counseling?

Nutritional counseling provides the comprehensive, personalized support you need to live a healthy, active life.

During nutritional counseling, a registered dietician nutritionist (RDN) works with you to assess your diet and nutritional needs. They’ll work with you to create a fully tailored eating plan to help you achieve your goals and feel your best.

What Is an RDN and Why Should I See One?

Nutrition impacts your health, weight, and medical conditions, so it’s important to work with a nutritional counselor you can trust.

Anyone can call themselves a “nutritionist,” but only an RDN or registered dietician nutritionist is a fully accredited food and nutrition expert with the training to consider your full medical history when designing your plan.

To become an RDN, our specialists have completed a specially designed four-year curriculum followed by an extensive supervised practice overseen by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

They have also passed a nationally recognized exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and are dedicated to staying up to date in the field through continuing professional education.

Why Should I See a Nutritionist?

Why-See-A-Nutrionist

Why consult a nutritionist or diet counselor?

Because living a healthy life always starts with what’s in your gut.

Our registered dietician nutritionists work with you to create a personalized nutrition plan to help you achieve a wide range of wellness goals, including:

Manage Chronic Disease

Our bodies are complex systems.

The foods we eat can have a significant impact on chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

We can help you better understand the relationship between what you eat and your chronic condition, and work with you to create an individualized nutritional therapy plan to manage your disease.

Gain or Lose Weight

Everybody is different, so our weight gain and loss plans should be too.

Whether you’ve tried every diet out there or just don’t know where to start, we can work with you to create a personalized eating plan that meets your unique nutritional needs, suits your lifestyle, and still includes your favorite foods.

Manage Digestive Issues or Food Allergies

Figuring out the cause of digestive issues, allergies, and intolerances can be frustrating and complicated.

We have years of experience identifying specific food allergies and understand the safest way to cut foods out of your diet without developing nutrient deficiencies during the process.

Ensure a Healthy Pregnancy

Our bodies go through so many changes during pregnancy, and good nutrition is key to ensuring a healthy pregnancy for you and your baby.

Through nutrition consulting, we can ensure you both get all the nutrients you need during pregnancy and after birth.

Improve Athletic Performance

You don’t have to be an Olympic athlete to benefit from quality nutritional advice.

We can help you achieve results no matter what your sport is by creating an eating plan that feeds your body the nutrients it needs to perform.

Live a Healthy Life

Everyone deserves to feel their best every day.

Whether you’re feeling tired, worn out, overwhelmed, or simply want to do right by your body, we can help.

We’ll tailor a nutritional plan that makes you feel healthy, active, and vibrant, so you can live life to the fullest.

What Should I Expect When I See a Nutritionist?

What to Expect When You Visit Nutritionist

Whatever your reason for visiting, your nutritional journey begins with a 60-minute one-on-one consultation. Our registered dietician nutritionists are fully trained to take your full medical history into account as they develop your tailored plan.

  • Your goals
  • Your medical history
  • Any medications you currently take
  • Your current diet and eating patterns
  • Your eating preferences
  • Any challenges you’ve faced
  • Any questions you have

After your first consultation, you’ll walk away with a completely personalized eating plan that takes your whole lifestyle into account.

We’ll give you resources to help you every step of the way, including shopping lists, meal plans, and how to identify healthy portion sizes.
